Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory whatever the consequences may be; because without victory, there is no survival.
— Daniel's thoughts on The Hunger Games
Son of Corinth
Champion of District I
Slim, Fit, Tall
Daniel Morwell is a male tribute/character from District I created by Tyler. He is well known across the District for his swimming talent. He is the first male "tribute" to ever be reaped in the country. His sister is Adelaide Morwell.
Daniel is 5'10, with light brown eyes, and shining golden brown hair. He is muscular, fairly tall and quite handsome. His hair is wavy and he has a charming smile, which bring about his stereotypical "surfer" looks. Daniel has a very flirtatious look to him, even when he doesn't intend to seem flirty. He has a decent tan, like most of the coastal District I citizens.
Charming, handsome, talented, witty, seductive: Daniel knows that he is all these things and, as he would gladly tell you, so much more. He prides himself on his ability to make almost anyone weak, and it's this effortless charm that has made him such a favorite of the District I citizens. Anyone who has met him at a party or social gathering, or see him in TV interviews, or met him at a surf competition would doubtlessly claim that he is always relaxed, always smiling, and confident.
Daniel is easy to get along with and can make conversation with almost anyone. He's not difficult to please, easily entertained, and easily distracted. Daniel himself would admit that he is flighty and shallow, though anyone who takes the time to know him beyond a surface level would discover that there is more depth there than he cares to let on. It should also be noted that while Daniel gets along fine with most people, and has slept with many people, when he cares about someone, he cares deeply. He is willing to put those he cares about ahead of himself and will risk his own well-being to protect his loved ones.
Daniel is very charming and likable. He's also highly skilled in swimming and he's quite strong. Daniel is also quite cunning and can earn people's trust fairly easy.
Daniel is mentally damaged from his past, especially from his parents' high expectations, the fear of never meeting them, and the events that happened because of them. He's also not that skilled in any weapon, due to Corinth not having a Hunger Games or any similar thing until recent times. Daniel appears to be trusting, but has major trust issues. Climbing and hunting, along with living off the land would most likely come as a challenge to Daniel, due to living in a modernized country that has much higher standards of living than Panem.
